When preparing your used car for sale via an online auto classifieds website.Its very important to inspect the vehicle prior to placing it within your auto ads, check for any rust or damage. ie, scratches to the bodywork, any dents, or faded body-work. If you find any you may even look to getting them fixed, it would give you an overall better chance of selling your used car. As online there are many auto classifieds sites with many autos for sale within them. With the recent down turn globally of the car market, used car prices have fallen dramatically. So its only right you try and make the most from your used vehicles.

Sounds simple but clean the inside before you take your photo or video of the vehicle, as i say sounds simple but i have seen many that do not. And if the seller cannot even find there way to clean the interior, it shows laziness and will put customers off buying. Make sure the ashtrays are emptied, and the side panels of the doors( we all like to stick toffee wrappers there) but clean them. When a potential customer comes to see the vehicle, they open the door to sit in it for the first time, and is met by a mountain of wrappers and general junk is very off putting. So for the interior the more clean the better. Get a `magic tree` inside to make it smell nice and clean. Wipe everything over including the peddles, and dashboard, inside of doors ect.

Now for the exterior, as i said before check all around looking for any damage. Looking for rust and dents or scratches, if you find any you can fix yourself or possibly you need to pay someone to do it for you.But to get the best used car prices it will need repairing, the more you fix and the better condition it is. The more advantageous your vehicle will be to others, and the speed of your sale will increase. Included within the exterior check should be the wheels and wheel arches, wheel arches are know for rust. So have a good check, have a feel under the wheel arches if you find any rust repair it. The wheels should have a minimum depth of( ). And you do not want to be selling an illegal car to someone. Also the tire walls need inspecting for any misshape, or bulging areas which would indicate you need to replace them.

Overall if your used car need attention that you cannot afford, then show this in the price and let the customer know. There are many buyers of online auto classifieds that are looking for a vehicle that needs some attention so be truthful.
